We're currently seeking a Summer Dock Attendant for one of our premier communities.

Job Overview:

The Summer Dock Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to boaters and guests at the marina. This role involves ensuring the cleanliness and overallappearance of the marina, assisting with docking procedures, and supporting tenant retentionthrough a quality boating experience. The Dock Attendant will promote the company's MissionStatement and ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures, fostering anorganizational culture aligned with corporate values.

What You'll Bring:

  • 1-year prior office administration experience
  • 1-Year prior dock operations / boating experience
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • Ability to frequently walk and stand and occasionally stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Knowledge of actions to take in the case of an emergency such as fire, sinking, storms, etc.
  • Ability to communicate with others including the public in a friendly, courteous manner
  • Ability to perform wood and mechanical repair work preferred
  • 2 years customer service experience
  • Ability to follow commands in English.

Your Responsibilities:

General Dock duties

  • Assists Tech II and Tech III in general dock maintenance and operations.
  • Hoses off walkways and gangways keeping clean of sea lion / seal poop, coils water hoses and dock lines.
  • Removes sea lions / seals from docks where required.
  • Collects trash from marina water as required.
  • Customer Service
    • Assists boaters in and out of the slips by catching lines and tying lines to cleats / Ensuring safe boat operations.
    • Knows correct use of safety ladders, safety equipment and procedures for man overboard or dock overboard situations.
    • Help customers load and unload equipment between their cars and boats.
    • Locate and distribute dock carts to specific locations.
    • Works with courtesy patrol to deal with any out of control / noisy boat / dock parties that require attention.
  • Ice Delivery
    • Be available by radio and dock phone to take boater / office calls to deliver Ice to specific slips as required.
    • Track Ice deliveries to correctly charge boater accounts.
  • Marina safety Boat
    • Operate as crew to assist marina trash cleanup as required
  • Oil / Gas spill prevention and cleanup.
    • Acts as first point-of-contact to all persons walking into the marina office.
    • Answers questions efficiently and involves manager when necessary.
  • Office Duties as required.
    • Customer Service
