Schedule: Part Time
Hourly Rate :$18.00
Shift: 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Hours: 4 days a week, every other weekend, and rotating holiday
Position Summary
Floor Technician /Special Project
Minimum Education
HS Diploma not required. Requires ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language.
Minimum Work Experience
2 years
Preferences
At least 2 years of related experience. Willing to train for knowledge and skills required in floor care and special projects.
Required Skills/Knowledge
Requires ability to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to operate buffers, shampooers, pressure washers, steam machines, auto scrubbers, vacuums, and other related cleaning equipment. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds routinely and 100 pounds occasionally. Must be able to push/pull 200 pounds. Must be able to bend from waist and at knees. Must be able to reach with arms over head. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods.
Functional Accountabilities
Floor Care
1.Use vacuum to clean carpets; use carpet extractor or bonnet buff to perform spot removal or clean carpets.
2.Use brooms, mops, buffers to sweep, dry/wet mop, scrub, strip and refinish, sanitize and disinfect hard surface floors.
3.Report damaged carpets and floors and situations where stain removal can not be done.
4.Mix, use and dispose of floor care chemicals according to directions.
5.Clean and properly store floor equipment; operate cleaning equipment according to instructions; replace belts, bags and make other minor 6.equipment repairs; report other mechanical failures to supervisor.
7.Use cleaning chemicals for their specific purpose, following product directions.
8.Wear personal protective equipment according to hospital guidelines, follow universal precautions.
9.Use appropriate cleaning materials. Report unsafe conditions in assigned work areas.
10.Observe isolation procedures.Room Set-up and Tear Down
11.Move furniture and equipment as directed, use good body mechanics
12. Perform room set-up and tear-down as directed for special events.
Other Duties
13. Complete project report of completed tasks during shift
14. .Attend weekly/monthly and annual mandatory departmental training sessions.
15. Use pallet jack to move boxes from loading dock to stock supply room.
Non-Essential Function
Arrive and depart work on time.
Report to work on scheduled days with no excessive absenteeism.
Leave for meal break and return on time.
Report to work in uniform.
Uniform is clean and free of debris or odor.
6.Entire uniform is worn daily.
