Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 to $30.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer.  This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Description

A Dock Coordinator will coordinate the relocation of IT assets and materials This role performs non-technical tasks inside dock areas; escorting external vendors in the dock areas, coordinating dock activities and follow all Dock area Management Processes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee dock activities to confirm the appropriate people and materials only are coming in and out of space (GM and Non GM Shipments)
  • Asist with unpacking shipment
  • Disposing of packing waste
  • Moving material to staging area
  • Recording receipt of deliveries w/the understanding that GM will be responsible for official loading of data in to Asset Database
  • Recording pick-up of shipments
  • Ensure dock area is clean and free of clutter
  • Assist IT with moving material to data modules
  • Unload and move computer room racking systems through the dock
    Assist in IT Asset coordination
  • Light cleaning of dock areas
  • Assist in minor maintenance tasking
  • Helping to establish maintenance parts inventory
  • Updating Daily Inventory Logs as merchandise arrives/ leaves GM campus
  • Working with GM & non GM Project managers –ensuring the best(most cost efficient) logistics shipment decisions are made ( which logistics carrier to use for the particular shipment)
  • Scheduling shipments with non - GM Vendors /Suppliers- Diversified, Schneider Electric, Granger, etc.
  • Working closely  with GM Milford, GM Pontiac- Warehouse Management-providing inventory status & availability of requested material
  • Creating all necessary Shipping documents (Bill of Lading, GM Shippers, International paperwork for shipments to GM Oshawa)
  • Ensuring safety & proper packing of the departing  GM material
  • Storing all incoming material & equipment and other GM property 
  • Managing GM contracted workers (Diversified Inc, Superior Electric, Granger)-  coordinating the storing of GM property to its right place –  making sure the workers  follow standard safety protocols of  moving these materials
  • IT Storage Room-implementing proper storing procedures/making sure fragile electronics are stored to their specific assigned locations
  • Notify Project managers- material/shipments arrived-giving direction to their team members where and how this material should be stored-
  • Oversee the IT Storage Room
  • Consulting daily  with Data Center Director, provide him with detail information
  • Supervise GM contracted technicians ( Dell, HP)-giving instructions where & how should the removed hardware from IT Quads be stored   
Qualifications
  • • Minimum 3 years’ experience
    • General knowledge of facilities maintenance
    • Strong customer service

    • Good communication skills
    • Customer service oriented
    • Understanding of facility maintenance activities
    • Handle multi-tasking

    • Basic computer skills including proficient use of Windows and Microsoft Office
    • Flexibility to work overtime, nights and/or weekends as required
    • Comprehension of common predictive and preventative maintenance techniques
