36K Capacity Forklift Operator - 20-22 Per Hour - HEAVY OT
Join SAVARD Personnel Group - where your skills are valued! SAVARD Personnel Group is seeking experienced 36K Capacity Forklift Operators to support vessel discharge operations at the Port of Houston. Operators will safely move heavy cargo, load and unload trucks, stage materials, and assist with marine terminal operations while maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Operate a 36,000 lb. capacity forklift to move heavy cargo safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload cargo from vessels, trucks, and storage areas
  • Stage and transport bagged cement, supersacks, and other bulk materials
  • Support vessel discharge operations alongside crane and dock crews
  • Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment issues
  • Follow all port, OSHA, and company safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with general dock and warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Must have experience operating a 36K capacity forklift
  • Valid forklift certification required
  • TWIC card required
  • Prior experience in port, marine terminal, or heavy industrial operations preferred
  • Experience handling oversized or heavy loads
  • Ability to work safely around cranes, trucks, and heavy equipment
  • Strong attention to safety and communication

Shifts:
  • 12 hour shifts starting on July 24th til vessel is completed
  • Day/Nights available

Duration:
  • 1-2 weeks project; could turn into recurrring opportunity
