What is a dlb?

DLB most commonly stands for Dementia with Lewy Bodies, a type of progressive dementia that leads to a decline in thinking, reasoning, and independent function due to abnormal microscopic deposits that damage brain cells over time. It is characterized by symptoms such as visual hallucinations, movement disorders, fluctuations in attention, and sleep disturbances. DLB is the second most common type of progressive dementia after Alzheimer's disease. Diagnosis and treatment often require a multidisciplinary approach involving neurology, psychiatry, and primary care. Understanding DLB is important for proper management and support for affected individuals and their families.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a dlb, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Digital Librarian, you need expertise in information management, metadata standards, and digital archiving, often supported by a Master’s in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or a related field. Familiarity with digital repository systems, content management platforms, and data curation tools is typically required. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills help you manage digital collections and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. These skills are essential for ensuring the accessibility, organization, and preservation of digital information in modern libraries.

What are some common challenges faced by dlb professionals when integrating new digital systems into existing workflows?

DLB professionals often encounter challenges such as resistance to change from team members accustomed to legacy systems, ensuring compatibility between new digital tools and existing infrastructure, and managing the transition with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Effective communication and thorough training are essential to address user concerns and facilitate a smooth adoption process. Additionally, DLBs must collaborate closely with IT, operations, and management teams to identify potential issues early and implement scalable solutions.

Position Location: Remote - work virtually from anywhere in the United States
SALARY

JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Manager is a client-facing growth role within DLB's Design Department, responsible for expanding the firm's presence in the data center market through supporting new business ventures, proposal development, and disciplined opportunity organization and management. Drawing on a strong foundation in MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) consulting engineering, this position translates technical understanding into compelling value propositions for the owners, developers, operators, and contractors that shape the mission-critical sector.
This role owns the front end of the sales lifecycle, from identifying and qualifying opportunities to authoring proposals, structuring pricing, and tracking pursuits through close. Working closely with the Executive Directors, trade leadership, and technical teams, the Business Development Manager ensures every pursuit is well-scoped, properly priced, and clearly communicated, delivering a seamless client experience that reflects DLB's engineering and operational excellence.
Ideal candidates thrive at the intersection of technical fluency, strategy, and relationship management. As both a strategic contributor and a hands-on operator, the Business Development Manager will refine the firm's pursuit processes, drive sales performance in the data center market, and ensure DLB's brand of engineering excellence is represented with consistency, clarity, and impact in every client engagement.

  • Translate technical scope from MEP and design teams into clear, persuasive, client-ready narratives.
  • Coordinate proposal inputs across engineering, marketing, and leadership to meet submission deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Build and maintain a library of reusable proposal content, project descriptions, staff resumes, and past-performance materials.
  • Ensure every proposal reflects DLB's brand, quality standards, and win strategy.

Pricing Strategy & Structure (15%)
  • Develop and maintain pricing structures, fee models, and rate frameworks for data center and MEP engagements.
  • Partner with technical leadership to align scope, level of effort, and staffing assumptions with pricing.
