Job description

SUMMARY: The Technical Representative is responsible for the maintenance and growth of sales for DK Energy Services. They will provide technical support ensuring DK Energy Services customers have solution-oriented products and services to help mitigate well failures and prolong E amp;P assets.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Support and Management
  • Provide technical support to field/sales staff and customers in the Permian Basin
  • Make technical recommendations and dosages to customers for issues including: scale, corrosion, paraffin, etc.
  • Suggest monitoring procedures and KPIs to customers
  • Provide technical reports to internal and external customers
  • Attend customer technical meetings and conduct technical presentations
Methods of Technical Support
  • Collection of field samples
  • Lab testing of field samples using the Midland lab
  • Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) reporting
Building and Maintaining Customer Relationships
  • Build and maintain relationships with high level technical customer contacts
  • Leverage customer contacts as a method of gaining additional and/or new business
  • Ensure technical capabilities are aligned with needs of customers and/or market
Continuous Improvement
  • Assist in the development and roll out of new products and services that are beneficial to the business
  • Train field/sales staff and customers in our products for controlling scale, corrosion, paraffin, etc.
  • Support and assist in implementing and maintaining certified management systems ascribed to DK such as ISO 9001. Identify training needs of personnel. Promote awareness of risks and opportunities associated with their work. Maintain an understanding of the Quality policy and how they personally contribute to meeting DK objectives and goals
  • Support and assist in implementing and maintaining the RCMS program. Identify training needs of personnel. Promote awareness of the RCMS guiding principles and Dorf Ketal's HSSE policy, objectives and goals in addition to how they can contribute to them.
  • Other projects as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Required Skills/Abilities:
    • Training, presenting, report writing, interfacing with customers
    • Experience in problem resolution of scale, corrosion and paraffin preferred
    • Root Cause Failure Analysis understanding and experience
    • Ability to travel 40% – 70% in Permian Basin
  • Education/Experience:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in either Engineering or Chemistry preferred
    • 5 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry in a technology role
    • Oilfield Chemical Service experience is preferred
