Job Summary:
Steadily is a company focused on simplifying the insurance buying process through intuitive web applications. The Staff Software Engineer will be responsible for building user-friendly experiences, designing rating engines, and integrating property intelligence APIs to enhance the claims process.
Responsibilities:
• Build an experience for people to buy insurance that is so simple and intuitive your least-tech savvy relative could use it without help, regardless of device or platform.
• Create a way for customers to document damage, making the claims process smarter and easier–no matter how they access our services.
• Design rating engines for calculating how much an insurance policy should cost.
• Combine property intelligence APIs sources to flag flood, fire, and vandalism risks.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience building web applications and service oriented architecture
• Ability to dive into a complex codebase without too much spin-up
• Past experience as a team lead is a plus
• Thoughtful opinions on user experience
• Ability to balance speed and quality, making thoughtful trade-offs
• Willingness to learn new languages or frameworks quickly
