Don't Just Be an Advocate - Be an Ally for Patients
At NYP, Health Priorities Specialists spend their days navigating a multitude of adventures: on the phone, on the emergency department floor, dashing across the hospital and diving into the paperwork. They might be the first person a patient sees and last person to smile and wave. But every minute, they're always Putting Patients First.
Health Priorities Specialist - Patient Navigator - Evenings - Spanish Speaking Required
Work as part of the ED health care team as a patient ally throughout the continuum of care. Coordinate the patient experience, from ED to after discharge. Then, go a step beyond to connect patients to care, including the specialist or service they need. Support patients to navigate the health care system, including telehealth, and up the ante on patient education for health issues seen throughout New York.
The schedule for this position will be Sunday - Thursday from 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
Preferred Criteria
  • Clinical background
  • Diverse and culturally sensitive customer service skills
Required Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Minimum of years' experience in primary or community health
  • Knowledge of overall hospital and community resource

Salary Range:
$33.09-$35.39/Hourly
