Our practice operates primarily in a remote setting, thereby promoting flexibility while ensuring that our therapists can engage directly with patients in a manner that suits their needs. Working hours are typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with opportunities for flexible scheduling to accommodate patient requirements. As part of our community health clinic, you will work among a diverse group of healthcare professionals, enhancing collaborative care and achieving comprehensive health outcomes for our clients.

• Conduct thorough, culturally competent mental health assessments that capture each patient's unique life experiences and needs.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans employing evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to individual backgrounds and experiences.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on skill-building to enhance resilience and support client mental health across various challenges.
• Work in conjunction with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to coordinate care plans, ensuring that patient treatment is comprehensive and holistic.
• Provide crisis intervention services to address mental health emergencies, helping clients navigate difficult situations effectively.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, various therapeutic options, and community resources that can offer additional support.
• Maintain precise and confidential patient records in line with legal and ethical standards to facilitate effective service delivery and continuity of care.
• Engage actively in team meetings and case conferences to share insights and strategies, promoting a culture of learning and professional growth within the practice.
• Continually update knowledge of best practices, recent research, and cultural considerations relevant to therapy through ongoing professional development.

In this role, you will serve a richly diverse client base comprised of individuals from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including but not limited to members of the LGBTQ+ community and immigrant populations. Your expertise in delivering culturally responsive care will be essential in guiding clients toward healthier mental states and coping mechanisms.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy, employing a culturally responsive approach to therapy.
• Strong crisis intervention skills and the capacity to maintain composure and compassion in high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building rapport with a diverse array of clients.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and related technological tools necessary for effective practice management.
• Commitment to upholding professional boundaries, ethical standards, and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to engage as an effective team member within a multidisciplinary setting, sharing insights to enhance overall care.

• Experience working in a community health clinic or similar setting.
• Multilingual skills are highly valued and can enrich communication with clients from various backgrounds.
• Advanced training or certification in specific therapy modalities may be advantageous.
• Previous involvement in community outreach initiatives or program development focusing on mental health strategies.
