Job Overview:



  • We are seeking a Building Automation Controls Engineer with hands-on HVAC/BAS controls experience to support engineering and automation projects. The ideal candidate understands BAS hardware, software, building systems, and controls programming concepts.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Support the design, configuration, and troubleshooting of Building Automation Systems (BAS).

  • Work with controllers, sensors, relays, actuators, and other controls hardware.

  • Configure and troubleshoot inputs/outputs, PID loops, sequences of operation, and BAS software.

  • Develop and recommend modifications to sequences of operation.

  • Support BAS integrations using protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, or N2.

  • Troubleshoot controls and building automation issues, including remotely when required.

  • Work with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and building systems.

  • Communicate effectively with engineering teams and other internal divisions.

  • Manage multiple priorities and deliver work within committed timelines.

  • Use Windows, MS Office, email, and BAS engineering tools.


Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in HVAC or Building Automation Controls.

  • Understanding of HVAC/BAS hardware and basic controls software concepts.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, Building Automation, or related field.

  • 8+ years of Building Automation industry experience.

  • Experience with Automated Logic (ALC) software and hardware.

  • Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, or similar protocols.

  • Understanding of enterprise IP networks.

  • Experience with BAS software, engineering tools, peripherals, and integrations.

  • Ability to understand and modify building automation sequences of operation.

  • Strong organization and time-management skills.
