Job description



  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.

  • Build and enhance RESTful APIs to support enterprise business processes and service-to-service communication.

  • Develop backend business logic, data access layers, and integration components leveraging Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle Database.

  • Write clean, secure, maintainable, and testable code that aligns with team standards and best practices.

  • Utilize Oracle SQL, including schemas, stored procedures, indexes, constraints, and query optimization, to ensure data quality and performance.

  • Participate in application design discussions, API contract definitions, technical documentation, code reviews, and implementation planning.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments, including root-cause analysis and performance tuning.

  • Support application reliability, availability, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness for systems supporting financial services.

  • Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, DevOps, architects, and fellow developers to deliver value through iterative development.

  • Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance code quality, automation, performance, supportability, and efficiency for continuous improvement.

  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise application delivery and full software development lifecycle.

  • Knowledge of enterprise security/authentication mechanisms including OAuth/OIDC, JWT, and API gateways.

  • Exposure to containerized or cloud-native deployment environments like Kubernetes or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or IBM MQ.

  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools, including Elastic, Grafana, or similar platforms.

  • Understanding of DevOps practices, automated deployment pipelines, and environment configuration.
