Location: Remote position with Los Angeles based brand
Danger Jones is a fast-growing, independent professional hair color brand built by founders who previously scaled and sold a global beauty company. In just two years, we’ve expanded into 40+ countries, with top-tier distributors like CosmoProf and Modern Beauty in North America, and built a deeply engaged stylist community.
Description

The Regional Account Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, brand expansion, and strategic account development across Southwest region of southern California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico. This remote position requires a highly motivated and organized sales leader who understands category positioning, the competitive landscape within professional hair color distribution, and how to successfully grow market share through relationship-driven selling and education-focused partnerships.

This role combines strategic account management with field execution and business development. The ideal candidate is both a strong closer and a collaborative brand ambassador who can inspire distributor partners, salon owners, and stylists while helping elevate the Danger Jones brand throughout the territory.

This role reports directly to the Sr. Vice President with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive overall territory sales growth and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
  • Identify, develop, and grow strategic distributor, salon, and stylist partnerships throughout the assigned region.
  • Expand market penetration and increase brand visibility within the professional beauty channel.
  • Execute territory growth strategies aligned with company objectives and sales initiatives.
  • Analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities.

Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with distributor leadership, store managers, sales consultants, salon owners and the stylist community.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner and category expert within the professional hair color industry.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with distribution store and field leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with education, marketing, and leadership teams to support territory success.

Brand & Market Leadership

  • Understand and communicate the unique positioning of the Danger Jones brand within the professional hair color category.
  • Stay informed on competitive activity, emerging trends, and evolving market dynamics.
  • Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, distributor meetings, and educational experiences.
  • Help disrupt the traditional professional beauty landscape by introducing innovative approaches to sales growth and customer engagement.

Field Execution

  • Maintain a minimum of three strategic field days per week throughout the territory.
  • Conduct salon visits, distributor ride-alongs, market development activities, and in-person relationship building.
  • Support product launches, promotional initiatives, and educational events in partnership with the education team.
  • Ensure consistent follow-through and execution at both the distributor and salon level.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales experience within the professional beauty industry preferred.
  • Experience working with professional hair color brands, distributors, or salon-focused sales strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of professional beauty distribution and territory management.
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and build long-term business relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Ability to analyze business opportunities and execute strategic growth plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and virtual communication tools.

Travel Requirements

  • Remote role with required travel throughout California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico.
  • Minimum of three strategic field days per week required.
  • Overnight travel is required based on business needs, distributor meetings, events, and territory coverage.
