What is a Distribution Warehouse?

A distribution warehouse is a specialized facility where goods and products are received, stored, and then shipped out to retailers, wholesalers, or customers. These warehouses play a crucial role in the supply chain by organizing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring timely delivery. Distribution warehouses often use technology and automation to efficiently handle large volumes of goods, making them essential for businesses involved in logistics and e-commerce. They differ from traditional storage warehouses by focusing more on the rapid movement and distribution of products rather than long-term storage.
