Job description

Sika is looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Territory Sales Representative to grow sales and strengthen customer relationships with hardware stores, paint stores, lumber yards, and other building material retailers throughout an assigned territory. This role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys being on the road, building relationships with store owners and purchasing teams, identifying new business opportunities, and helping customers find the right products and solutions for their needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing existing accounts, opening new accounts, increasing product visibility, and driving sales growth across the territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with hardware stores, paint stores, home improvement retailers, lumber yards, and other key accounts.
  • Grow sales within an assigned territory by expanding existing accounts and developing new business opportunities.
  • Make regular in-person customer visits to understand business needs, identify opportunities, and provide product support.
  • Present and promote products to store owners, purchasing managers, sales associates, contractors, and other decision makers.
  • Increase product placement, distribution, displays, and overall visibility within customer locations.
  • Prospect for new accounts and establish relationships with potential customers throughout the territory.
  • Work closely with customers to develop sales strategies, promotions, merchandising programs and product assortments.
  • Provide product training and sales support to customer personnel when needed.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, forecasts, and follow-ups through CRM or company systems.
  • Attend trade shows, customer events, dealer meetings and other industry related activities as needed.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed territory sales goals and performance objectives.
