Education:

  • Bachelor's degree Operations Management, Business, Supply Chain, or in relevant field of study; or equivalent years of related work experience required

Work Experiences:

  • 5+ years of related work experience managing a team in an automated warehouse, distribution center, store, or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures operational excellence in all distribution areas, efficient operations of warehouse management system(s) and related equipment, and accountable for inventory accuracy lead time adherence to support the entire supply chain
  • Assists GM and/or AGM with the DC's financial metrics, KPI operational goals, people, process, and safety related objectives to drive continuous improvement and efficiency gains
  • Supports GM and/or AGM with the evaluation of operational effectiveness and recommends alternatives for work methods, procedures, controls, and headcount needs to achieve accurate and timely processing of merchandise
  • Champions a Safety First culture by adhering to Academy's safety policies and procedures and monitors DC safety metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Leads direct reports and team members to drive accountability; coaches, trains, and develops team by providing consistent, fair, and timely job performance-based feedback
  • Anticipates and solve problems, strategically plans for peak volume, seasonal changes, special projects, hot markets, community support, disaster readiness, etc.
  • Fosters an engaged and positive work environment by adhering to an open-door policy of communication; integrates purposeful Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging strategies
  • Maintain internal control documentation, effectively perform assigned internal controls, remediate internal control exceptions, and response to internal and external audit requests as necessary

Firearms Positions: Requires the handling of ammunition and/or firearms. Extra precaution, safe handling, storage of and transport procedures must be followed to ensure safety and compliance with company policies, local and state laws. All Firearm positions will require successful completion of firearms- specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.

Powered Industrial Truck Positions: Requires the operation of a Powered Industrial Truck that will be used to carry, push, pull, lift, stack or tier materials. Extra precaution, safe truck operation and procedures must be followed to ensure safety and compliance with company policies. Team member must have an active PIT Certification (provided by Academy) to operate a Powered Industrial Truck.
