Job description

Position: Logistics Associate

Duration: 5 Months (Contract to Hire)

First: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Second: 2:00 PM 10:30 PM (2.5% shift premium)
Third: 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM (5% shift premium)

Shift assignments may vary between first and second shift. Shift lengths can range from 8 to 10 hours depending on operational demand.

Location: 2600 Featherstone Rd., Auburn Hills, MI 48326"

Weekends / Overtime
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and multiple shifts as required.

Travel - Travel between multiple locations may be required occasionally based on business and operational needs.
Experience:
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, shipping, or receiving preferred.
-Experience with inbound and outbound material handling, including picking, packing, and shipment preparation.
-Experience shipping via common carriers (FedEx, UPS).
-Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and reconciliation of variances.
-Familiarity with ERP systems and scan gun usage for picking and put-away.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred Certifications:
-Forklift, manlift, reach truck, pallet jack, or overhead crane certification preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
-Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse or plant environment.
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights when retrieving or storing material.
-Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying receipts against packing slips.
-Ability to pick, package, stock, and distribute material and equipment per internal and external orders.
-Experience assigning, maintaining, and updating warehouse locations.
-Ability to perform daily inventory cycle counts and data entry of inventory transactions.
-Working knowledge of scan guns for material movement and tracking.
-Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklift (hilo), pallet walker, manlift/order picker, and reach truck.
-Ability to prepare material, robots, and controllers for shipment.
