We prepare and package over 15,000 meals per week in our production facility and distribute them throughout the St. Louis area, to both our storefront locations and direct-to-customer homes. Department Description

The Distribution Department plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless flow of meals from our facility to the customer. Once the meals are packaged, they are stored in our walk-in coolers, strategically organized for distribution to storefronts, businesses, and home deliveries. This crucial process is facilitated by our fleet of large, temperature-controlled trucks, ensuring that each meal arrives at its destination in perfect condition, ready to be enjoyed by our customers.

Position Summary

We are seeking a methodical, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our fit-flavors Distribution team! Distribution Associates work independently and collaboratively with fellow team members, frequently interacting with the packaging, kitchen, and store teams. Strong written and verbal communication is essential, and associates are expected to provide exceptional customer service during home deliveries.

  • Maintain a clean driving record (must be insurable by company vehicle insurance)

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and deliver store and home orders efficiently and accurately
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles, maintaining organized routes
  • Transfer materials between stores and production as needed
  • Pickup and return snacks, supplies, and recycled materials
  • Pull meals and snacks for orders and verify against invoices
  • Pack, organize, and label all orders accurately
  • Print, organize, and label daily invoices
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, refuel, and report maintenance issues
  • Pick up supplies from vendors and manage department inventory
  • Build delivery boxes and rotate ice packs
  • Organize cooler and manage FIFO standards
  • Put away newly packed meals and dispose of expired bulk items
  • Count cooler inventory daily after order fulfillment
  • Monitor and engage with other departments via Slack
  • Communicate delivery updates, vehicle needs, and improvement opportunities to management
