Job description

Essential FunctionsMaintain a clean, safe, and orderly waste disposal area(s).Loading of waste into trash dump truck with front end loader.Make daily trips as needed to the county dump site.Assist landscape department in tree plantings with the front end loader and/or any other department.Maintain service road areas keeping them free of debris and scraps as needed.Maintain basic maintenance on dump truck and front-end loader as specified.Assist the maintenance shop supervisor and/or Mechanic supervisor as needed.Dispose of trash and garbage in all community and Quail Ridge common buildings, maintain and replace linings and ensure waste is disposed of properly.Collect and dispose of recyclable products as directed.Follow proper disposal/waste disposal protocol.Have a current and valid Florida driver's license and must be insurable under our company motor driving insurance policy.Performs a variety of manual maintenance tasks throughout the Quail Ridge properties.Complete daily log sheets and work orders. Account for any material used on work orders performed.May assist with repairs and maintenance of physical buildings and individual residents, such as homes, offices, condominiums, rental units, other structures, using hand-tools and power tools.Perform pressure washing/cleaning.Detects and corrects various maintenance problems.Possesses the ability to complete and understand projects assigned.Perform a variety of general maintenance functions. Perform other duties and/or tasks as directed by Management.Education and experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Required a minimum of two years' experience and ability to operate gasoline/diesel trucks, forklift, and front-end loaders.Current and valid Florida driver's license and must be insurable under our company motor driving insurance policy.Previous experience with waste/garbage disposal a plus.Motorized equipment experience required. Ability to follow written and oral directions.Must be able to operate necessary equipment safely and efficiently. Must be able to handle and use maintenance tools and/or similar tools to perform jobs.Must be able to walk extensively as well as sit or stand for extended periods of time while performing job functions.Must be able to lift up to 80lbs in various forms.Knowledge, skills and abilities Must be able and willing to take directions.Must complete tasks as assigned.Must be a self-starter and eager to learn.Must be able to recognize and solve problems.
