The company works closely with customers and consults with multiple P.E.’s to ensure technical requirements are met.

 

PROJECT MANAGER


We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in a precast concrete manufacturing plant who will assist the Outside Sales team with all aspects of project management, from customer handoff through final project closeout, on commercial construction projects.  

 Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Outside Sales team in gathering documentation needed for submittal to potential customers.
  •  Oversee the transition of awarded projects from sales and estimating into project management, production, and delivery.
  • Work closely with the Outside Sales/Inside Sales and Production teams to prioritize and focus customer expectations about production capabilities, lead times, delivery schedules, project requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure all special materials orders are sent to Purchasing department on time to meet project deadlines.
  • Interface with sales/estimating, drafting, purchasing, production, and dispatch departments as well as customers to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Oversee the identification, documentation, pricing, approval, and tracking of project changes.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address potential delays, conflicts, or resource constraints to minimize schedule or cost impacts.
  • Ensure approved changes are effectively communicated to engineering, production, scheduling, accounting, and other affected departments.
  • Prepare internal reports to illustrate the job progress and timelines.
  • Coordinate with dispatch about delivery sequencing and site requirements.
  • Ensure project closeout documentation is complete and supports final billing.

Qualifications

  • Must be attentive, organized and be able to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various phases at a time.
  • Proficient in reading construction plans and blueprints.
  • One to three years of experience in a construction environment
  • One to three years of experience in project management
  • Spanish speaking preferred; but not required.
