Responsibilities- Coordinate and dispatch local truck drivers for daily deliveries and pickups, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Communicate schedules, destinations, and any changes or priorities to drivers throughout the day.
- Schedule and maintain accurate delivery and pickup appointments for customers, updating information as needed.
- Sort and organize shipping, delivery, pickup, and driver paperwork to ensure proper routing to relevant personnel or departments.
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally and promptly, assisting customers, drivers, vendors, and internal staff or directing calls as appropriate.
- Maintain ongoing communication with drivers regarding routes, delivery and pickup status, delays, and scheduling changes.
- Review daily workload and assist in organizing truck assignments to support efficient operations.
- Accurately enter and maintain dispatch information, appointment times, and related records.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service regarding delivery and pickup scheduling.
