Job description

About Gotcha Security

Gotcha Security is a growing commercial security integrator specializing in surveillance cameras/CCTV, access control, gate access, intrusion alarms, and fire alarms. We work with commercial properties and new construction clients across the Atlanta metro area and beyond — and we're building a team of career-minded technicians who take pride in their craft.

This isn't a revolving-door opportunity. We invest in our people for the long haul, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

About This Role

This is a field-based position covering the Atlanta metro area and surrounding markets. You will dispatch directly from home to your first site each day — no office commute required.

What You'll Do
  • Program and configure security equipment including burglar alarm panels, fire alarm panels, NVRs/DVRs, IP cameras, servers, networking equipment, and access control hardware
  • Troubleshoot and service surveillance cameras, fire alarm devices, smoke detectors, card readers, electronic door locks, control panels, and gate operators
  • Test all serviced equipment to ensure it meets customer requirements and Gotcha's quality standards
  • Train clients on proper system operation following service visits
  • Update service tickets in real time before moving to the next site
  • Cross-train junior technicians and help establish and document service procedures
  • Lead installation teams when needed and work independently between sites
  • Collaborate with the Service Coordinator and Technology Manager
  • Travel throughout the Atlanta metro area and surrounding regions for service calls

RequirementsWhat We're Looking For

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial security experience, including cameras, access control, or alarms
  • Hands-on experience with IP camera systems, network configuration, and DVR/NVR programming — this is a must
  • Minimum 3 years of intrusion alarm experience
  • Minimum 3 years of low voltage experience (electronic and mechanical)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean 3-year driving record
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (typical 8-hour days; start/stop times may vary by project)
  • Comfortable working in varying field conditions: heat, cold, confined spaces, heights, dust, and crawl spaces
  • Strong communication skills — you'll manage your own schedule and keep management updated on ticket progress
  • Honest, professional, team-first mindset

Nice to Have:

  • Low voltage or alarm industry certifications (ESA, NICET, etc.)
  • Experience with gate operators or fire alarm panel programming
  • Prior experience mentoring or training technicians

Benefits

What You'll Get
  • $25–$35/hr based on experience
  • Company van provided (dispatch directly from home to your first site each day — no office commute)
  • Company credit card for all job-related purchases
  • 2 weeks PTO + paid holidays
  • Continuing education — we support your growth and certifications
  • Long-term, stable employment with a growing company
  • Full-time position

All benefits subject to company policy.
