Main responsibilities:

  • Communicating to the work force ways to promote a safe work environment.
  • Implement cost-saving measures through working closely with drivers’ dispatchers and software vendors.
  • Managing equipment and manpower requirements for daily operational needs
  • Monitoring employees daily work assignments and spearheading safety initiatives for the department.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

  • 2-year college degree, Bachelors preferred or 2 to 5 years of proven supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of HOS and Dispatching routing systems, MOBI and Prospero experience are a plus
  • Familiar with a union work environment and time and attendance procedures and requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possess transportation experience including loading of trailers and store delivery procedures. Experience driving diesel-powered tractors and a current CDL helpful.
  • Schedule:
    • Nights
    • Weekend availability a must
