Job description

MAJOR FUNCTION:

Supervises the daily shift operations of the Security Operations Center, Security and Emergency Management Programs across multiple behavioral healthcare locations. Coordinates all-hazard notifications, responses, and mitigation for IHN facilities Documents HSEEP-compliant emergency exercises and ensures completion of drills and exercises during the shift. Maintains communications, dispatcher equipment, and security technology. Handles emergency and non-emergency calls, keeping records related to security operations as directed. Supervises the department's Security Dispatch/Operations Center, including the emergency mass messaging system. Ensures adherence to protocols, contemporary procedures, and industry best practices. Ensures all IHN emergency management plans and policies are followed and compliant with NIMS. Applies regulations related to emergency management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

  • High School or equivalent required.
  • Associates preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in law enforcement, dispatch operations, private security or investigations required.
  • At least one year in security dispatch field required.
  • Progressive experience in a lead /charge position preferred.
  • Healthcare security experience preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including ability to interact effectively with all levels of INSPIRA HEALTH management including staff, physicians, visitors, patients and vendors.
  • Must be able to manage time well and have the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment as well as the ability to lead and direct work assignments of security officer.

Certification/ Licensure:

  • FEMA ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700, ICS 800.
  • Drivers license required.
  • Certified Basic Healthcare Security IAHSS required.
  • Certified Advanced Healthcare Security IAHSS required within 6 months.
  • Certified Supervisor Healthcare Security required within 12 months.
