Job description

BGC Interpreting Services is currently hiring Sign Language Interpreters for several students in the central Florida area. Sign Language Interpreters provide a communication link between school personnel and students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. Interpreters at this level apply skilled formal training techniques in providing interpreting and transliterating spoken language into sign language to facilitate the communication between hearing and deaf or hard-of-hearing students and instructors. Work is performed under the direction of a certified teacher or other school official. Hourly wage is based on level of expertise and fluency in ASL.
Qualifications

The Interpreter must be adaptable, detail oriented, dependable and have the ability to manage confidential information appropriately

Strong interpersonal, and outstanding customer service skills are required

The ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members, external customers, and leadership are also required

Must have a valid Driver's License and be willing to travel
