We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!

This role sits in the Disney Consumer Products - Licensing Technology organization within Disney Experiences. The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Senior Manager, Application Development. Please note that this role is not open to sponsorship of any kind at this time. (i.e.: OPT, H1B, TN)

What you will do:

  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Adaptive Planning models, sheets and dashboards for enterprise-level forecast planning
  • DevelopcustomintegrationsbetweenAdaptivePlanningand other custom solutions usingJava,Python,Custom Cloud Loader andRESTfulAPIs.
  • Design and develop and provide oversight for web solutions for our existing and new platform.
  • Analyze user stories, provide realistic estimations, and participate in sprint planning, scrums, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with product, and other stakeholders in defining solutions that are scalable, easily maintainable and within the expected budget and timeline.
  • Create detailed software development documentation and assist in assigning tasks to team members.
  • Build well-designed, well-engineered, stable, performant applications using Java, Angular, and Node JS
  • Guide and mentor other team members by providing oversight and direction.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, technologies, and coding practices that improve the team's effectiveness.
  • Strong ability to maintain focus and problem solve in a dynamic, fast-paced environment working with cross-functional teams.
  • Keep up to date with the current technologies and latest trends, be able to innovate and provide creative solutions to existing and new problems.

Technologies we use:

  • Java, the Spring Framework, Services/MicroServices Architecture, Angular, Node JS, cloud experience (AWS), Relational Database Skills (Maria DB), Docker, monitoring/logging tools (e.g. Splunk, AppDynamics), Vault

Required Qualifications& Skills:

  • 5 years of experience building highly scalable and performant production level applications.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, including model building, reporting and systems integration.
  • StrongknowledgeofRESTAPIs,datatransformation,andenterprisereporting tools.
  • Hands-on experience of developing and deploying custom AI solutions using LLMs to automate business processes or improve business outcomes in enterprise environments
  • Experience in the entire development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, analysis, and product launch.
  • Proven collaboration skills and ability to communicate about software processes, architectures, and design patterns across various teams.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and the ability to deliver encouraging and constructive feedback.
  • Experience working in an Agile Team consisting of product managers, project managers, design, QA, and tech.
  • Excellent communication skills required to interact with senior leaders, technical colleagues, and partners.
  • Self-motivated, quick learner.
  • Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
  • Strong knowledge of unit testing and continuous integration.
  • Deep knowledge and experience of managing, orchestrating, and monitoring distributed production systems.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale California is $141,900.00-$190,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
