Description:

The Discipleship Pathway Coordinator provides administrative and project support to the Discipleship Pathway Pastor, to create opportunities for the Pantano community to experience spiritual transformation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Calendar Management
  • Scheduling appointments, meetings, and events for the Pathway Pastor.
  • Reminding the Pathway Pastor of upcoming commitments and deadlines.
  • Assisting the pastor in managing their daily schedule and prioritizing tasks.
  • Communication Management
  • Handling phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication on behalf of the Pathway Pastor.
  • Maintaining an organized system for incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Meeting Support
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings for the pastor.
  • Taking notes during meetings and distributing them as necessary.
  • Execute administrative/office needs and reports for the Pathway Pastor
  • Attend Discipleship team meetings as directed, take notes and do follow ups, as requested or needed
  • Receive, process and follow up on Pathway requests
  • Coordinate details for Rooted group, Life groups, Interest groups, and Care Groups including advertisement, room reservations, registrations, materials and communication with group leaders/facilitators
  • Coordinate details for events hosted by the team, including advertisement, room reservations, registrations, materials, and communication with teachers/facilitators such as
  • Rooted experiences (launch, prayer, celebration)
  • Life group events (Group leader training, other events as needed)
  • SHE Women’s events
  • Man Church events
  • Coordinate with leaders to assist with needs for Seniors group meetings on Tuesdays and Fridays
  • Create or coordinate communication requests for materials needed for advertisement of Pathway programs, including events and content under the Discipleship Team
  • Create printed materials for advertisement and informational purposes for programs, services, and content under Discipleship

Other Duties

  • Attend weekly 1:1, team and staff meetings, including retreats
  • Prepare needed reports and correspondence
  • Prepare weekly credit card expense reports
  • Prepare purchase orders and check requests as needed
  • Adhere to all church policies and procedures as well as ensure that staff and volunteers comply with guidelines for ministry
  • Work assigned duties during “All Hands On Deck” events such as Christmas and Easter services
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Active Difference Maker at Pantano Christian Church
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work productively without direct supervision
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with team members, volunteers, and other staff
  • Excellent office-related computer skills, including experience with common office software/programs and online applications
  • Proficiency in online communication, email and calendar tools
  • Experience with Mac and macOS a plus
  • Experience with Google Drive a plus
  • Experience with database software a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel a plus
