The Role:

As a Mitigation Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring properties affected by fire, water, and other emergencies. Your responsibilities will include handling the mitigation and restoration process, making a significant impact on the lives of our clients during challenging times.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the scope of damage
  • Inspect and document property damage, including photos, notes, and diagrams
  • Perform water extraction, drying, dehumidification and hazardous clean-up according to IICRC standards
  • Complete fire, smoke, and soot cleanup with precision and care
  • Apply antimicrobial treatments and odor control measures as needed
  • Communicate clearly with customers about the process and progress, providing professionalism and reassurance throughout the job
  • Maintain accurate job records and update the Emergency Services Project Manager on job status
  • Inspect, clean, and maintain tools and equipment
  • Follow OSHA and company safety protocols, participating in ongoing safety and industry training

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the restoration industry
  • IICRC certifications in water, fire, or mold are a plus
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Willingness to work on-call for emergency response
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions:

  • This role requires both indoor and outdoor work, often in varied weather conditions.
  • Must be available to work on-call and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, and noise is common.
