Job description

Job Title: Disaster Case Manager
Job Type: Contract last usually 3 years
Salary: $22.00 per hour
Monday to Friday Normal Business hours
Work Location: Remote
Our client is seeking Remote Disaster Case Managers to conduct outreach to and detail needs assessments of households impacted by the disaster and hurricanes
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience with case management, public housing, or disaster recovery or disaster relief related work. Intake specialist experience or Homeless Shelter experience can qualify as well.
  • Connecting clients to existing nonprofit and government services for resources and referrals, including internal referrals to other programs
  • Work closely with program leadership, staff, and applicants to ensure that applicants fully understand program requirements.
  • Assist clients in completing necessary paperwork for their long time goal achievement, referral services, and supplemental documentation as needed
  • The Case managers will work one-on-one with clients to develop goals and evaluate progress
  • Maintain and track an active caseload.
  • Frequently update clients on application and grant progress throughout the process
  • Input client data, case notes, and resource referrals into client casework and financial aid records systems, etc.
  • Transition for clients to sustainable affordable housing
  • Maintain case records in an efficient and timely manner
