CASE MANAGER
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following temporary position:
Case Manager in the Office of Accessibility and Disability Services.
The ADS Case Manager is a professional-level role responsible for managing the day-to-day flow of student accommodation cases from intake through follow-up. While the role may be physically located at or near the front desk, it is not clerical or administrative in scope. Instead, the position centers on case coordination, student engagement, documentation integrity, and continuity of care.

Required Qualifications: A bachelor's degree. Experience working with confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as education, disability services, social work, or other related discipline. Experience in higher education, disability services, or other academic setting.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Case Management & Student Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for students, visitors, faculty and staff entering ADS. Manage ADS email account and ensure all inquiries are routed to appropriate staff. Coordinate and schedule initial connection meetings. Track case progression, follow-ups, and outcomes in Accommodate software. Conduct proactive check-ins with registered students. Support students with newly diagnosed disabilities through structured outreach.
- Workflow management & Operational Efficiency: Manage intake and routing of accommodation requests. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case notes. Ensure cases are not stalled and improve overall service responsiveness.
- Compliance Support: Ensure required documentation is complete and appropriately sourced. Support Emotional Support Animal and service animal processes in alignment with policy. Escalate complex or high-risk cases to coordinators or leadership. Contribute to audit readiness and documentation consistency.
- Outreach and Education: Engage with prospective students and families during tours and orientation. Assist with bridge programming and transition. Provide support for limited programming related to disability awareness and access.
Time Limited position with benefits. (NS01487P/TL5861) Salary: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 (Maximum). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. Able to work evenings and weekends through the year as needed. Able to attend overnight conferences.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of ADA, Section 504, FERPA and other laws related to students with disabilities. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and staff; excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
