Company Description

At MSL, we're on a mission to make every client more influential and a positive force of influence in the(ir) world. Why? Because we know that influence = impact and the more influential you are, the more impactful you can be. We're proud to partner with incredible brands, companies and leaders who want to push boundaries and create change - and we're looking for passionate creators and storytellers who want to do the same. But it's not just our work (and the awards we win for it) that energizes us, it's who we are as a team. A team of powerhouse professionals that is driven by three core values: Leading, Learning and Loving. A team that has ranked us a "Best Place to Work" in the industry year over year.

OverviewAbout the Role

We're looking for a VP-level Brand PR leader known for shaping and elevating consumer brands, turning culturally relevant ideas into action, and rallying teams to deliver at speed. In this role, you will lead two flagship businesses with distinct and ambitious mandates - one focused on reputation rebuilding and brand credibility, the other on growth and evolution into culture-first storytelling.

What You'll Do
  • Be a strategic client counselor who will help shape strategy and elevate brand reputation and drive measurable impact
  • Lead large-scale earned activations from ideation through execution, delivering with excellence on time and on budget
  • Bring rigor and structure to media strategy - championing high-impact, intentional storytelling over volume-based PR
  • Build and lead integrated brand narratives and executive visibility platforms, particularly critical for transformation-stage accounts
  • Develop and present out-of-the-box ideas that connect brand equity to culture; create innovative programs that help clients achieve measurable goals
  • Assist senior leadership in managing interagency teams, including Creative and Media agency partners
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client businesses, priorities, competitive landscape, and challenges
  • Build rapport and credibility with clients based on trust and expert counsel; act as a true senior advisor who shapes strategy and challenges thinking
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and use data to track performance, optimize in real time, and inform future planning
  • Manage, coach, and motivate a team of 4-6, leading account operations, finances, and organic growth plans to meet or exceed revenue goals
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in consumer PR or marketing communications, with a B.A. in Public Relations, Communications, or a related discipline
  • Strong category fluency in automotive, travel and/or luxury preferred
  • Experience leading large, multi-stakeholder accounts with multiple moving parts and cross-functional teams
  • Confidence in modern media - from traditional earned to social, creator ecosystems, and emerging platforms
  • Prior experience managing earned influencer and integrated media campaigns
  • Experience advising senior client executives through complex issues and high-stakes communications moments
  • A bias for culture-first thinking and the instincts to know when a brand moment is ready to move
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop compelling new business presentations
  • Strong time management, leadership, team-building, and mentoring skills
