Bus Driver
Part-Time Afternoons
North Vancouver, BC

The Opportunity:
Are you service-oriented, community-focused, and steady behind the wheel? Do you enjoy supporting community? If so, we’d love to meet you!

We’re looking for a Part-time Bus Driver to take on a scheduled weekday shift contract on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, starting September 8, 2026 until the end of June 2027, 2:00 pm to 3:45 pm. There is the possibility to work in summer 2027 as well.

What you would do:
Safely transport children and School Age Care leaders from Seycove and Sherwood Park Schools to Seymour Centre near Ron Andrews Pool, keeping everyone safe, comfortable, and on time. Shifts are 2 hours each day.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Drive safely and ensure timely drop-offs and pick-ups.
  • Complete vehicle logs (pre-trip inspection and mileage).
  • Assist passengers in and out of the bus (no 1:1 care required).
  • Keep the bus tidy (light cleaning only).
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns.

You’d be a great fit if you:
  • Have experience driving similar-sized vehicles (we operate 24-seat Ford Eldorado buses).
  • Are confident navigating North Shore routes.
  • Value connection, reliability, and patience when supporting community members.
  • Communicate well and are comfortable using email.
  • Can be flexible with hours (minimum 2 hours per shift).

We’d love to know:
  • Your driving experience (vehicle types, past roles, etc.).
  • If you’ve worked or volunteered in community-serving roles.
  • Your availability and preferred hours.

Must Haves:
  • Valid Class 4 Unrestricted Driver’s License.
  • Clear Driver’s Abstract and copy of license.
  • Criminal Record Check (with vulnerable sector).
  • 2–3 professional references.

Contract Details:
  • Part-time, temporary contract.
  • Tuesday and Wednesdays 2:00 pm to approximately 3:45 pm.
  • $24.97/hour + 6% vacation pay.
  • Free parking and easy/close access to transit.
