Real Estate Associate – Denver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, or New York

Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 200 firm nationally recognized for its exceptional legal talent, deep policy expertise, and sophisticated business insight. With 14 offices and more than 300 attorneys and policy professionals nationwide, the firm has been a driving force behind some of the nation’s most significant real estate transactions, business deals, and legislative initiatives.

The firm’s Real Estate Practice Group is seeking a Real Estate Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its team in Denver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, or New York. This is an opportunity to work with high-profile clients on complex, large-scale transactions while collaborating with leading real estate attorneys in the Western U.S.


Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing, development, and joint venture matters.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate agreements and documentation with precision and strategic insight.

  • Manage complex deal structures and coordinate across multiple parties, including lenders, investors, and developers.

  • Provide practical and business-minded legal counsel to clients navigating sophisticated real estate matters.

  • Work collaboratively with senior attorneys while taking on increasing levels of responsibility and client engagement.


Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, preferably within an Am Law or major regional firm.

  • Strong experience with real estate finance, leasing, development, and joint venture transactions.

  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively with sophisticated clients and in a collaborative team environment.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.


Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $195,000 – $290,000 (depending on experience).

  • Bonus eligibility: Hours-based bonus structure.
