The Opportunity

Access TeleCare is seeking an exceptional strategic generalist to serve as VP, Strategy & Analytics, working closely with the CEO, CFO, and broader executive leadership team on the company's highest-priority opportunities and challenges across our acute care telemedicine business and the hospitals and health systems we serve.

This is a broad enterprise leadership role rather than a traditional analytics position. The VP will be deployed against the most important questions facing the company – shaping corporate strategy, evaluating growth opportunities, leading complex cross-functional initiatives, supporting M&A and integration, solving emerging operational challenges, and helping senior leadership make high-quality decisions quickly.

The role is designed for someone who combines rigorous problem solving with a strong bias toward action. At different points, the VP may be asked to develop a market strategy, evaluate a new business model, lead a major enterprise initiative, support the integration of an acquisition or partnership, diagnose an operating problem, or temporarily take ownership of an important business priority.

The VP will also oversee a small analytics team, ensuring the company has the insights and analytical capabilities required to support executive decision-making. However, the core mandate is broader: to serve as a highly trusted, versatile leader who can move fluidly across strategy, operations, growth, finance, technology, and organizational priorities.

Success in this role requires intellectual horsepower, exceptional judgment, executive-level communication, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to rapidly develop expertise in unfamiliar areas.

What You’ll Own

Enterprise Strategy & Executive Priorities

• Partner directly with the CEO, CFO, and executive leadership team to address the company's most important strategic and operating priorities
• Structure ambiguous business questions, develop fact-based perspectives, and translate analysis into clear recommendations and action plans
• Lead strategic planning efforts across growth, service lines, markets, customers, operations, technology, and capital allocation
• Identify emerging opportunities and risks and develop actionable recommendations for senior leadership
• Serve as a flexible internal resource for high-priority issues that do not fit neatly within an existing function
• Move rapidly from strategy to execution, taking direct ownership of initiatives when required rather than stopping at recommendation development

Strategic Initiatives, Growth & Partnerships

• Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through execution and measurable results
• Support acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, integrations, and other strategic transactions, including diligence, business case development, integration planning, and execution
• Step into high-priority initiatives or business areas requiring additional leadership, structure, or problem solving
• Evaluate new markets, service lines, commercial models, strategic partnerships, and other growth opportunities, including GPO relationships and health-system partnerships
• Build financial and operational cases to support major enterprise decisions, including client health monitoring, transfer analysis, and value-based/risk-based contracting strategy
• Partner with operating leaders to diagnose performance challenges and develop practical interventions
• Establish clear workplans, decision points, owners, and performance measures for major initiatives

AI-Enabled Strategy & Transformation

• Actively incorporate AI and emerging technologies into how strategic and operational problems are solved across the organization
• Identify opportunities to use AI to improve productivity, decision‑making, clinical and operational workflows, customer experience, and enterprise performance
• Rapidly develop fluency in new AI capabilities and help leadership distinguish practical opportunities from technology hype
• Champion new ways of working that combine human judgment, data, automation, and AI
• Work with technology, operations, clinical, and functional leaders to translate AI opportunities into executable business initiatives
• Help establish an organizational culture that experiments quickly, learns from results, and continually adapts as AI capabilities evolve

Deep prior AI expertise is not required. Intellectual curiosity, demonstrated comfort adopting new technologies, and a strong desire to become highly proficient with AI are essential.

Executive & Board Decision Support

• Develop high-quality analyses, recommendations, and narratives for the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board of Directors
• Distill complex business issues into clear choices, implications, and recommended actions
• Lead development of selected Board and executive materials, particularly where strategic synthesis and decision support are required, including build of templates, coordination of leader contributions, and management of distribution
• Bring an independent, fact‑based perspective to senior leadership discussions and constructively challenge assumptions when appropriate
• Ensure appropriate handling of sensitive and competitively‑sensitive content in executive‑facing materials
• Communicate effectively with executives, clinicians, operators, investors, customers, and external partners

Cross‑Functional Leadership

• Build credibility quickly across clinical, operations, sales, finance, technology, product, and corporate functions
• Partner with senior business leaders (e.g., SVPs) to align strategy and priorities across business units with broader enterprise goals
• Create alignment among stakeholders with different perspectives, incentives, and priorities
• Lead teams through complex problems even when resources do not report directly into the role
• Maintain momentum on critical initiatives by resolving ambiguity, surfacing decisions, and removing barriers to execution
• Develop strong working relationships throughout the organization and become a trusted resource to senior leaders
• Provide strategic leadership to a small team of analytics managers and analysts, conducting regular 1:1s and overseeing performance management, including reviews and compensation discussions
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and mentor analytics talent to build a high‑performing capability over time
• Ensure analytical resources are focused on the company's highest‑value business questions
• Raise the quality of executive‑level analysis, insight generation, and decision support
• Improve the speed, consistency, and accessibility of management information and business insights, including through data governance and reporting rationalization
• Ensure analytics practices align with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy/security requirements
• Partner with technology and data teams on reporting, data infrastructure, and analytical capabilities where appropriate

The VP is not expected to be the company's most technical data expert. The role requires strong analytical judgment and the ability to determine what analysis matters, pressure‑test conclusions, and translate data into business decisions.

Candidate Profile:

The strongest candidates will likely have developed their problem‑solving foundation in a rigorous strategy consulting, investing, corporate strategy, or similar environment and now want significantly greater ownership and operating exposure. We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Experience at a leading strategy consulting firm or similarly rigorous strategic environment
• Exceptional structured problem‑solving skills and the ability to become fluent in unfamiliar subjects quickly
• Meaningful exposure to healthcare, including providers, healthcare services, healthcare technology, payers, or adjacent sectors
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects involving senior executives and multiple functional stakeholders
• Strong quantitative and financial acumen, including the ability to build and pressure‑test business cases and analytical models
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to create clear, compelling executive narratives
• High intellectual curiosity and a track record of learning new industries, functions, and technologies quickly
• Strong ownership mentality and willingness to move from analysis into hands‑on execution
• Comfort operating in a fast‑moving environment where priorities can change and the answer is not always obvious
• High standards, low ego, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across levels and functions
• Genuine enthusiasm for AI and emerging technology and a desire to use these tools extensively in day‑day work

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree required
• Approximately 2+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, investing, healthcare operations, or another highly analytical environment
• Candidates may range from individuals relatively early in their post‑consulting careers through experienced engagement leaders or principals seeking a transition into an operating role
• Prior healthcare experience is strongly preferred
• MBA or other advanced degree is helpful but not required
• Previous formal people‑management experience is helpful but not required for an exceptional candidate with demonstrated leadership ability
