Job description

The Sales Lead-Content and AI Search Partnerships is responsible for acquiring net-new advertiser partnerships by selling Money Group's industry-leading content, sponsorship, and AI search visibility solutions. This includes end-to-end ownership of the sales cycle, from prospecting brands Money Group does not yet work with, to pitching multi-million-dollar content proposals, to closing deals that expand a brand's visibility across organic search, AI-powered search (SGE), ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and top-tier publisher networks.
This role requires a strategic, consultative seller with knowledge of digital media, SEO, branded content, sponsorships, and AI search trends. The ideal candidate can speak fluently about brand authority, EEAT, and the importance of being referenced across trusted publications.
The person in this role will independently build and manage a pipeline of high-value brand targets, create custom proposals, and partner closely with internal teams to deliver large-scale, multi-channel content packages.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Own the full sales cycle for all net-new advertisers, from prospecting to contract execution.
  • Build, manage, and grow a high-performing pipeline of target brands across priority verticals.
  • Sell Money Group's full suite of content, sponsorship, and AI-search visibility products
  • Pitch and close enterprise-level content packages, often ranging from six to seven figures.
  • Content Strategy & AI Search Expertise
  • Educate advertisers on the importance of brand visibility in AI-powered search, generative engines (SGE, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.), and the value of authoritative mentions in trusted publications.
  • Translate advertiser KPIs into content & distribution strategies that strengthen EEAT and organic search authority.
Partner with Editorial and SEO to craft tailored content proposals that drive brand exposure and measurable outcomes.
  • Strategic Partner Management
  • Serve as the external face of Money Group in meetings with senior-level brand and agency stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Product, ABM, Editorial, Finance, and Marketing to ensure proposal accuracy, feasibility, and delivery.
  • Lead on-site and virtual meetings, including proposal walk-throughs, QBRs, and strategic workshops.
  • Independently assess opportunities, identify risks, and make decisions grounded in data, revenue potential, and strategic alignment.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of digital marketing, consumer search behavior, and publisher economics to inform recommendations.
  • Develop new approaches, frameworks, and processes to improve sales efficiency and pipeline velocity.
  • Anticipate obstacles and proactively propose solutions, operating with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Deliver revenue targets and contribute to the company's P&L growth.
  • Provide insight on new vertical opportunities based on market research and prospect feedback.
  • Represent Money Group at trade shows, conferences, and partner events to increase visibility and brand authority.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the SVP of Sales

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in digital advertising, branded content, SaaS, media sales, or SEO-driven performance marketing.
5+ years of quota-carrying sales or business development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience closing six-figure+ deals and managing enterprise-level sales cycles.
  • Deep understanding of SEO, content strategy, publisher networks, and AI-powered search visibility.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with experience influencing C-suite decision-makers.
  • Ability to analyze campaign data and develop strategic recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience selling content programs across news publishers, editorial networks, or performance-driven media companies.
