Job description

Homes for Good is looking for an Energy Services Director to join our team!

Homes for Good Housing Agency is a high performing public housing authority located in Eugene Oregon, servicing all of Lane County (4,600 sq. miles). The Agency’s primary work is to help low-income Lane County residents access and maintain affordable housing.

Our Energy Services team is comprised of the Director, six Energy Auditors, a Lead Energy Auditor and an Energy Services Administrative Specialist. The team collaborates with program participants, funders, utility partners, contractors and other Agency departments to improve housing energy efficiency, and support health & safety for program participants.

As a key leadership role, the Energy Services Director oversees Homes for Good’s weatherization, heat crisis and energy conservation programs, including program operations, funding compliance, vendor coordination and staff support. This position leads a specialized team that helps households improve energy efficiency, safety and housing stability while ensuring programs are delivered effectively and in alignment with grant and Agency requirements.

We are interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and that candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background. If you meet key qualifications for the job, and believe you would be the best fit, we encourage you to apply.

If you are unsure whether you meet the qualifications of this position, please feel free to contact us at hr@homesforgood.org.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES

This role requires a strong working knowledge of how complex social services and public programs operate, including eligibility, participant services, community partnerships and the regulatory framework of publicly funded work. The successful candidate will bring experience leading and supporting staff in a people-centered environment. This includes setting clear expectations, providing training & feedback, navigating changing priorities and communicating effectively with participants, service providers, staff and colleagues across the organization.

Experience: Four years of progressively responsible work experience in social services delivery, public or non-profit administration or construction with at least two years in a supervisory capacity.

Training: Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in Community Services, Public Administration, Energy Management or a related field.

LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: This position is required to drive Agency vehicles during the course of their duties. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Oregon vehicle driver’s license, and be insurable at standard rates is required for this position.

COMPENSATION: The pay range for this position $98,664.96 - $132,220.40 per year with a generous benefits package which includes paid health, dental and vision insurance for you and your family after one month of employment, along with life insurance and a 12% contribution of your monthly salary into a retirement account after 6 months of employment.
