- Develop, review, and optimize structural designs to ensure safety, efficiency, and code compliance.
- Utilize structural analysis software such as RISA, SAP2000, or similar programs to evaluate structural integrity.
- Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and supporting documentation for internal and customer use.
- Establish and maintain standard structural calculation packages for commonly used designs.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to improve structural performance and manufacturability.
- Provide engineering support throughout project execution, including design reviews and technical recommendations.
- When appropriately licensed, review and seal engineering documents for applicable projects.
- Coordinate with third-party licensed engineers when project-specific state licensure is required.
- Stay current with applicable building codes, industry standards, and engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of structural engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience performing structural calculations for steel structures or similar applications.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Illinois Structural Engineer (S.E.) license strongly preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in any U.S. state.
- Experience with modular building design, skid-mounted equipment, industrial structures, or custom fabricated systems.
- Experience preparing engineering documentation suitable for permitting and customer review.
- Familiarity with multi-state engineering requirements and coordinating engineering seals across jurisdictions.
Why Join Our Team:
This is an opportunity to build and lead an in-house structural engineering function while working on innovative modular building and skid-based projects.
