One of our direct clients is looking for a Network Engineering professional to work with them and their customer program teams in a collaborative manner to plan and execute assigned work stream tasks as they related to the overall client program. This role will cover 3 customer locations in Phoenix, AZ, Little Rock, AR and Brown Deere, WI.

Job Description

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis)

  • Create queries on large data sets
  • Create stored procedures, functions and triggers as needed
  • Extract, transform and load data via Import/Export wizards and SSIS
  • Tune queries to obtain maximum performance where necessary
  • Develop tables, indexes, constraints
  • Optimize database code by analyzing query execution plans
  • Research new ways to improve existing functionality
Qualifications

What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities?

SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014; SSIS, query analyzer, profiler

What skills/attributes are a must have?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 or more years of SQL Server database development including query optimization, performance tuning and index utilization
  • 5 or more years with T-SQL; writing complex queries, stored procedures and functions

What skills/attributes are nice to have?

  • Healthcare experience is a plus
  • Data migration (SSIS)
