Mission of role

We’re looking for a hands-on Food Supervisor to oversee daily production line operations in a fast-paced airline catering environment. This role is responsible for supervising team members, monitoring production flow, maintaining food safety and quality standards, and ensuring all work is completed accurately, safely, and on time.

You’ll work closely with Food, QA, Stores, Dispatch, Equipment, and Airside teams to support production targets, uphold HACCP and FDA expectations, and resolve department issues efficiently.


Schedule: Overnight/Graveyard Shift
We are looking for dedicated professionals who thrive in a fast-paced overnight work environment.


Functions and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage staff working on the production line, including assigning work, monitoring performance, and ensuring staffing needs are met
  • Approve and authorize clock-in hours and overtime allocation in alignment with operational needs
  • Ensure team members are trained, tested, and prepared to meet job requirements and production standards
  • Measure and monitor production to ensure agreed targets are met or exceeded
  • Check and report temperatures, dates, rotation, and other quality requirements to ensure compliance
  • Maintain a high level of hygiene in all areas and ensure safe working practices are followed at all times
  • Ensure conformity and compliance with HACCP, FDA, and company food safety requirements
  • Support stock takes and monitor delivery of food from stores, including checking incoming stock and related paperwork for accuracy
  • Work department positions as scheduled and assist production as needed to support daily operations
  • Liaise with Food Stores, Dispatch, Equipment, and Airside departments to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Perform regular quality checks and escalate food safety or production concerns when needed

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

  • 1–2 years of supervisory experience in airline catering, food production, manufacturing, warehouse, or a related operational environment
  • Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, FDA, GMP, sanitation, and safe work practices preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coach and direct team members
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
  • Ability to work in a flexible 24/7 production environment, including weekends, holidays, and changing schedules as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a cold environment, approximately 35–41 degrees, for extended periods of 7–8 hours per day
  • Ability to push rolling carts weighing approximately 50–100 lbs.
  • Ability to lift carriers, ovens, and related items weighing approximately 10–35 lbs.
  • Ability to bend and squat for approximately 40% of the time when assisting with packing flights
