About the role

The Director, Software Engineering provides technical and organizational leadership for one or more strategic software products and platforms that support TeleTracking's mission of improving access to care and optimizing healthcare operations. This role is accountable for engineering execution, software architecture, operational excellence, talent development, and cross-functional delivery.
The Director partners closely with Product Management, Architecture, Customer Success, Clinical Operations, and Executive Leadership to ensure technology investments deliver measurable customer and business outcomes. While responsible for leading and growing a team of engineers, this role remains actively engaged in technical decision-making, architecture reviews, engineering best practices, and delivery execution.
This position has end-to-end ownership of engineering delivery for assigned products and platforms, including technical strategy, resource management, roadmap execution, operational health, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will do

  • Lead and develop a team of software engineers through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development planning.
  • Provide technical leadership through participation in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering decision-making.
  • Partner with Product Management and business stakeholders to define roadmaps, prioritize investments, and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Establish engineering standards, development practices, and operational processes that promote scalability, maintainability, security, and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on engineering effectiveness, software quality, operational excellence, and delivery predictability.
  • Develop and maintain key engineering, delivery, reliability, and operational metrics to measure team and platform performance.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
  • Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, Clinical Operations, and Executive Leadership to align technical priorities with business objectives.
  • Represent Engineering in customer discussions, escalations, strategic initiatives, and executive planning activities as needed.
  • Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, automation, and AI-assisted software development capabilities.

  • Ability to translate business strategy into technical direction and executable engineering plans.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and drive outcomes through collaboration.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (required).
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).
