Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm

Under direction of the Chair and Director of the Department of Anesthesiology the incumbent will oversee the daily operations of UF Health's Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants. Assists the Director in evaluating current clinical operations and manages the financial, staffing, and human resource initiatives to support the success of recruitment, onboarding, and overall performance activities in partnership with Human Resources and Employee Relations of UF Health. Responsible for the successful integration of management functions of the CRNA and CAA workforce into the Department of Anesthesiology. Oversees an annual budget of over $18MM and is responsible for the proper alignment of staffing resources to support the strategic growth of UF Health.


Responsibilities
  • Directs and manages the financial performance of the anesthesiology CRNA and CAA administrative functions.
  • Assures appropriate department staffing. Either directly or indirectly through supervising physicians, is responsible for the full performance management of CRNA and CAA clinicians.
  • Assures departmental mission is consistently met in high quality manner.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates long-range business plans for the department.  
  • Maintains relationship between Shands Hospital and the UF COM Department of Anesthesiology. 

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, hospital administration, or public administration
  • Minimum of two years of management experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose

NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile

a) at least once daily,

b) at least five individual trips per week or

c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job. Please indicate the appropriate operator designation on the Request for Personnel (RFP) form at the time a RFP is submitted to post the position.
