Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team. Delegates tasks appropriately. Identifies hospital resources. Serves as a clinical resource for new employees. Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.
The Opportunity:
Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Observation Unit. As an experienced RN on this team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patient care processes, conditions, and diagnoses. This position will give you the opportunity to learn and expand your nursing skills. You will be supported by leading technology and our virtual nurse team who will provide assistance for floor nurses with oversight, education, documentation, and monitoring to ensure the patients receive exceptional care.
Shift Details: This position is Full Time Nights (3, 12-hr shifts per week)
The Work:
  • Function independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process
  • Coordinate the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team
  • Performspatient care, delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff
  • Coordinatesthe plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes
