Director of Pharmacy
Location: Vernal, UT

Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt | Day Shift
Salary range-$146900-$198000

Position Summary
A hospital in Vernal, UT is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead and oversee all pharmacy operations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and compliant pharmaceutical services while advancing departmental performance, quality, and patient-centered care. The Director of Pharmacy plays a key role in supporting the organization's mission to improve community health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Direct all pharmacy department activities and resources to achieve clinical and organizational objectives
  • Develop, implement, and maintain departmental goals, policies, and standards consistent with clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements
  • Oversee pharmacy operations including patient care delivery, information systems, service levels, and complaint management
  • Plan, manage, and evaluate staffing activities, including hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and continuing education
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage the department budget to ensure compliance with allocated funding
  • Coordinate and lead internal and external audits
  • Foster a professional environment that supports staff development and continuous improvement
  • Integrate evidence-based practices into pharmacy operations and clinical protocols
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and other applicable requirements
  • Manage staff performance through effective scheduling, supervision, training, development, and corrective action
