About Us

At Tower Communications Expert (TCE), we build and maintain the infrastructure powering America’s wireless networks. From 5G deployments to critical emergency response communications, we deliver excellence, safety, and reliability at scale. We are seeking an experienced Microwave Transmission Project Manager to lead our growing portfolio of wireless projects.

Position Overview

The Microwave Transmission Project Manager will oversee end-to-end delivery of microwave and telecom infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time performance. This role requires a balance of field leadership, client management, and project oversight. The ideal candidate has a proven background in microwave systems, tower upgrades, and carrier-level

deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage planning, scheduling, and execution of microwave, UMTS, LTE, and 5G deployment projects.
  • Lead and support multiple tower crews and subcontractors on installations, upgrades, relocations, and maintenance.
  • Conduct and represent TCE in bid walks, develop scopes of work (SOW), review bids, and award contracts.
  • Coordinate equipment harvesting, radio replacements, system integrations, and backhaul upgrades.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair operations, including resolution of trouble tickets across assigned sites.
  • Deploy emergency response solutions (COWs, portable generators) during outages and natural disasters.
  • Interface with carriers, vendors, and customers to ensure alignment and client satisfaction.
  • Drive safety compliance, quality assurance, and accurate project documentation from kickoff through invoicing.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in microwave transmission, tower construction, or wireless telecom project management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple crews and managing subcontractors.
  • Strong knowledge of UMTS, LTE, 5G, and microwave transmission systems.
  • Ability to manage large-scale rollouts and multi-site projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in interpreting RF specs, construction drawings, and carrier requirements.
  • OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with ability to travel regionally as needed.

Preferred Experience

  • Carrier-side experience with AT&T, Verizon, Ericsson, or similar clients.
  • Successful management of high-volume upgrades (1,000+ sites).
  • Background in emergency response communications and rapid deployment.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary with performance incentives.
  • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, disability).
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid training and certifications.
  • A strong team culture where safety and excellence come first.
