Position Summary
Provides strategic leadership and manages multiple squads composed of data scientists, data engineers, and MLEs, responsible for designing and developing a Retail specific ecosystem of decisioning engines to enable business strategy to drive incremental trips, margin, and other outcomes in deep partnership with cross functional strategy, merchandising, marketing, and engineer teams. Core responsibilities include, but is not limited to, end to end technical product development (e.g., defining product roadmaps, prioritizing feature development, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring successful product launches). Oversees the entire product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, iteration, measurement for scale go/no-go, and closed loop feedback monitoring. Work across the organization to align product strategies with business goals, manage resources, and facilitate effective collaboration between product teams and other departments to drive product success.

What You Will Do

Develops the squads, providing direction, guidance, and mentorship to foster a high-performing and collaborative work environment; decision maker for WHAT to build, WHEN by, WHY together with key partners, with what VALUE based on analytical best practices (e.g., quasi experimentation).

Defines the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning them with business goals and market demands to drive product innovation and customer satisfaction.

Controls the product development process, from ideation to launch, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.

Communicates strategically with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and marketing, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment throughout the product development lifecycle.

Advises management on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy and prioritize feature enhancements and new product initiatives.

Owns relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership and customers, to gather feedback, understand requirements, and communicate product updates and enhancements.

Directs resources to analyze product performance metrics, user feedback, and market data to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize product features and user experience.

Manages a team of data scientists, junior technical managers -- providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to support their growth and success.

Advocates for the squads and portfolio internally and externally, representing the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to promote product value and drive business growth.


Required Qualifications

8+ years work experience

Experience with direct reports and professional development

Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills

Adept at business intelligence

Adept at collaboration and teamwork

Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills

Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills

Experience with E2E technical product development of Analytics Products/AI Products

Education

Bachelor's degree required.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters in relevant field preferred (e.g., Masters in Data Science, Masters in Computer Science, MBA, etc.).

Certified Product Manager (CPM) preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$144,200.00 - $288,400.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
