Job Summary

Directs, plans, and controls all activities associated with facilities project execution at all applicable hospital campus and office campus Prisma Health locations. Provides strategic leadership and oversight for the planning, design, procurement, and construction of projects. Facilities & Real Estate project execution team members will report to this leader, including; project managers, purchasing agents, project designers, IT infrastructure project managers, and other project support roles.

Essential Functions

  • All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.

  • Leads, organizes, and develops the project execution team in the planning, design, procurement, and construction of facility projects from conception to occupancy.

  • Monitors project progress and proactively manage risks, changes, and cost variances to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.

  • Develops and implements the project execution means and methods to support project delivery consistency and performance.

  • Establishes systems and tools to support the organization and communication of project status reports, dashboards, and presentations including needs, risks, cost, schedule, and cash flow.

  • Supports the organization, collaboration, and development of strategic facility plans for applicable campus and major facility portfolios, that align to the overall market strategic plan.

  • Manages the selection, negotiation, contracting, and performance review for applicable 3rd parties including; design and engineering, equipment planning and procurement, construction, commissioning, and other project execution support firms.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibility

  • Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health Company or affiliate and will have direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - Engineering, Architecture, Facility Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management or related field required

  • Experience - Ten (10) years of Progressive experience in project management and project management leadership preferably within healthcare and facility design, procurement and construction industry

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

  • Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or equivalent preferred

  • Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) preferred

  • Project Management Professional or equivalent preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Life Safety and Fire Codes by local building codes and Fire Department - preferred

  • Knowledge of DPH/Joint Commission Life Safety compliance requirements - preferred

  • Knowledge of Healthcare Facilities Engineering - preferred
