How you’ll contribute

Directs the department’s activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Managing the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff. This position will oversee all financial operations for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. This includes budgeting, projections, accounts receivable, month‑end close and financial reporting.

  • Oversee all financial operations for two inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. This includes budgeting, projections, accounts receivable, month‑end close and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Direct and evaluate departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plan and monitor staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.
  • Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets, and ensure the department operates in compliance with allocated funding.
  • Coordinate and direct internal/external audits.
  • Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.
  • Business mathematical skills – ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
