Key responsibilities

  • Define and lead go-to-market strategy for PowerPlan's AI-powered services and innovation roadmap.

  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities through market analysis, segmentation, competitive analysis, and customer research.

  • Establish KPIs, instrumentation, and reporting to track product performance and align leadership on key metrics.

Job description

We're looking for a Director of Product Strategy & GTM to serve as a key architect of PowerPlan's long-term growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, you'll define where PowerPlan plays and how we win — including leading go-to-market strategy for our innovation roadmap of AI-powered services across PowerPlan NXT, and helping determine what comes next.

This is a high-visibility role that blends rigorous market analysis, financial acumen, and hands-on execution. You'll bridge the gap between high-level vision and operational reality, ensuring our investments are data-driven and our go-to-market execution is world-class.

Success will be measured by how clearly you turn market and competitive analysis into a strategy the business acts on, and by the commercial results — pipeline growth, win rate, market expansion — that trace back to it.

  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities through market sizing, segmentation, competitive analysis, and customer research.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for PowerPlan's AI innovation roadmap, including Intelligent Unitization, Intelligent Repairs, Intelligent Retirements, and PowerPlan IQ.
  • Build business cases and investment recommendations that keep PowerPlan ahead of regulatory and market shifts.
  • Define the “how we win” playbook, aligning product, sales, marketing, customer success, and professional services around every launch.
  • Establish the KPIs and instrumentation that turn raw data into product strategy.
  • Own key performance metrics — adoption, engagement, market share, NPS, and revenue impact — and build the reporting that keeps leadership aligned.

  • 8+ years of experience in product strategy, product marketing, or go-to-market leadership at B2B enterprise software companies.
  • 4+ years in a senior or director-level role with ownership of strategic outcomes, not just functional execution.
  • Strong financial literacy, with experience managing business cases and P&L impact.
  • A track record of leading market assessments and shaping product or portfolio strategy at the executive level.
  • Product marketing skills that translate into positioning and messaging that wins complex, technical enterprise sales cycles.
  • Analytical fluency with market data, financial modeling, and quantitative analysis.
  • Exceptional cross-functional influence, building alignment through clarity and credibility rather than authority.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Strategy, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred

  • MBA or strategy consulting background.
  • Experience bringing AI-powered or other emerging technology to market.
  • Experience in the energy, utility, or regulated industry software space.
  • Background in financial software, ERP ecosystems, or asset management technology.
