Job description

Who we are:

Founded in 2010, Semios Group is a leading agricultural technology company helping growers, agronomists, and ag retailers manage over 200 million acres across five countries. Semios pioneered variable-rate pheromone-based mating disruption in orchards and has since expanded into a comprehensive portfolio covering crop protection, water management, frost control, automation, and a leading farm management information system. The Semios Group includes trusted brands such as Semios, Agworld, Altrac, and Greenbook. We continue to drive the next generation of digital agriculture, supporting growers, agronomists and ag retailers in improving sustainability and profitability.

Our innovative work has been recognized with several industry awards, including:

  • AgTech Breakthrough – Smart Irrigation Company & Pest Management Solution of the Year
  • Thrive Top 50
  • Google for Startups Accelerator Cohort
  • Global Cleantech Top 100

We know our journey is only achievable by having a great team who shares ideas, tries new things, and learns as we go.

Who you are:

You’re driven by purpose and motivated by work that matters. You’re looking for more than a role, you want to be part of a growing, forward-thinking company solving real-world challenges to improve how farming works, today and for the future.

As the Director, Product Management, you will help strengthen and scale our product function as we drive toward our next phase of growth. In close partnership with GTM and Engineering, this role will define and operationalize a clear, economically grounded product strategy — ensuring disciplined prioritization, roadmap clarity, and measurable business impact.

This is a growth-stage, hands-on leadership role operating as a player-coach. You will elevate Product Management standards and craft while building a repeatable product operating model that connects market insight, customer feedback, and data to capital-efficient investment decisions. You will anchor product strategy in competitive intelligence, regulatory and agronomic shifts, and emerging capabilities, translating external signals into proactive roadmap positioning and scalable platform leverage.

While PMs will work closely with GTM leadership, this role provides functional oversight, product excellence standards, and portfolio-level direction to ensure product investments drive retention, expansion, contribution margin improvement, and long-term platform integrity.

What you will own:

Product Strategy & Portfolio Alignment

  • Define and articulate clear product strategies, in conjunction with product line go-to-market leaders, aligned to the company's growth goals in each of its product lines.
  • Define and operationalize product-level unit economics and contribution margin targets
  • Ensure alignment across platform, workflow, and growth initiatives
  • Establish structured prioritization frameworks tied to ARR, retention, and expansion
  • Ensure product investment decisions are tied to ROI, margin impact, and capital efficiency
  • Ground product strategy in structured competitive intelligence and market signal loops
  • Drive multi-quarter roadmap clarity and portfolio balance

Product Operating Model

  • Establish product standards (PRDs, discovery practices, KPI definition)
  • Implement planning and roadmap review rhythms
  • Improve prioritization discipline and reduce reactive roadmap churn
  • Define and track measurable outcomes for major product initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement through data, market insight, and customer feedback
  • Clarify decision-making rights between Product, GTM, and Engineering (RACI or equivalent)

PM Coaching & Functional Leadership

  • Provide functional leadership and mentorship to Product Managers
  • Elevate PM craft across discovery, metrics, stakeholder engagement/management, and execution
  • Partner with GTM leadership on performance input and development planning
  • Support hiring and onboarding of future PM talent

Commercial & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with GTM leadership on revenue-driven priorities and Engineering for technical trade-offs
  • Balance short and long-term commercial needs with platform integrity
  • Support pricing, packaging, and monetization strategy
  • Align product initiatives with expansion and retention goals
  • Establish a product and portfolio-level reporting cadence for key performance indicators (KPIs) and business outcomes, ensuring transparency to the executive team and cross-functional partners

Requirements

We want you to succeed, so you will need:

  • 8+ years of Product Management experience in B2B SaaS
  • 5+ years leading PMs or serving in a functional leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated experience operating in matrix or dotted-line reporting structures
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, churn, LTV, expansion)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
  • Proven experience balancing commercial pressure with product integrity
  • Growth-stage company experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working closely with Sales and Customer Success leadership

Nice to have:

  • Experience in AgTech, IoT, data platforms, or workflow-heavy SaaS

Salary range:
$185,000 to $210,000 USD per year

We publish a salary range to provide transparency and represent the full growth potential of the role; as a result, offers are made based on demonstrated mastery and experience and generally fall near the midpoint.

Benefits

Why this is the opportunity for you:

  • Purposeful Work: Make a global impact by advancing sustainable food production.
  • Our People: Work with a fun, collaborative, and supportive team.
  • Recharge: Generous vacation policy and year-end winter break.
  • Work Flexibility: Enjoy a hybrid office setting or fully remote. (role dependent)
  • Wellbeing: Comprehensive health plans and enroll in our 401(K) plan.

At Semios Group, we value the full range of experience and perspectives people bring—not just what’s listed in a job description. If your background is a close match, we encourage you to apply. If you need accommodations during the interview process, please let us know.

We welcome all applicants regardless of race, gender, orientation, sexual identity, economic class, ability, disability, age, religious beliefs or disbeliefs, or status. We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
