Strategic Account Director – Power Generation

Position Summary

The Strategic Account Director – Power Generation is responsible for accelerating profitable growth across IAFD's largest power generation customers by developing enterprise strategies that expand revenue across multiple sites, business units and decision-makers.

Working closely with Regional Sales, the role creates enterprise growth opportunities, increases executive engagement and positions IAFD earlier in customer planning, outage strategy and capital investment discussions.

Success is measured by enterprise growth, increased customer penetration, long-term commercial value and qualified opportunities that translate into profitable revenue.

Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Growth
  • Develop enterprise growth strategies across assigned customer fleets.
  • Increase IAFD's share of wallet across strategic power generation customers.
  • Identify expansion opportunities across additional generating stations and customer business units.
  • Support implementation of the Strategic Accounts Program.
Executive Customer Engagement
  • Expand executive sponsorship across assigned enterprise customers.
  • Position IAFD as the preferred enterprise maintenance partner.
  • Influence fleet-wide maintenance strategies, outage planning and long-term capital discussions.
  • Increase executive engagement, that creates measurable commercial opportunities.
Opportunity Creation
  • Generate qualified enterprise growth opportunities across assigned accounts.
  • Expand IAFD into additional plants, operating companies and customer business units.
  • Identify opportunities before formal procurement begins.
  • Create opportunities that Regional Sales converts into profitable projects.
Commercial Collaboration
  • Work in partnership with Regional Sales to accelerate enterprise revenue growth.
  • Align enterprise account strategy with regional execution and plant-level opportunity pursuit.
  • Coordinate Engineering, Operations and Sales Administration around customer growth initiatives.
  • Promote a One Commercial Team culture across strategic accounts.
Commercial Planning
  • Develop multi-year enterprise growth plans for assigned strategic customers.
  • Maintain strategic account strategies that define revenue priorities, customer penetration and growth pathways.
  • Support commercial forecasting, account reviews and long-term revenue planning.
  • Use Salesforce to improve commercial visibility and opportunity management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of commercial experience in industrial services, power generation, engineered solutions or technical sales.
  • Enterprise sales or strategic business development experience preferred.
  • Experience growing large, complex or multi-site customer accounts.
  • Experience selling into power generation, utilities, independent power producers or related industrial markets preferred.
  • Proven ability to build executive sponsorship and influence commercial decisions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with long-term revenue planning.
  • CRM experience required; Salesforce preferred.

Working Conditions
  • Approximately 50% travel.
  • Combination of customer corporate office visits, plant visits, industry events and home office work.
  • Ability to travel throughout North America.
  • Customer and plant visits may require PPE and access to industrial environments.
