This role offers a unique opportunity to own the connection between production planning and material procurement, helping drive operational excellence and customer service performance across the supply chain.

What You''ll Do:

The Production Planning & Procurement Specialist is responsible for coordinating production schedules, material planning, and direct material procurement to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations and On-Time In-Full (OTIF) customer delivery. This role serves as a key link between Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Customer Experience, and Suppliers, balancing customer demand, plant capacity, inventory levels, and material availability.

This role offers a unique opportunity to own the connection between production planning and material procurement, helping drive operational excellence and customer service performance across the supply chain.

Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to support customer demand and OTIF performance.
  • Utilize ERP(Accuterm)/MRP and scheduling systems (PT) to manage capacity, inventory, and production priorities.
  • Coordinate daily scheduling activities with Manufacturing, Packaging, and Procurement.
  • Lead schedule review meetings and proactively address production constraints.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, inventory levels, and delivery performance metrics.
  • Support New Product Introductions (NPI) and planning activities.
  • Execute purchase orders and manage direct material replenishment based on MRP requirements and production schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and material availability.
  • Expedite and de-expedite orders as needed to support changing business requirements.
  • Identify and communicate supply risks and implement recovery plans.
  • Maintain supplier, pricing, lead time, and procurement data within ERP (Accuterm) system.
  • Track and report KPIs including OTIF, schedule adherence, inventory health, supplier performance, and material availability.
  • Analyze trends and recommend actions to improve service, inventory, and operational performance.
  • Support process improvements, system enhancements, and supply chain optimization initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

No direct reports

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting operations in manufacturing environment.
